Peek at My Week {Jan 27-31}

We have a half day on Monday for professional development so I'm not sure how much we'll get done this week.  Whenever we have half days I feel like I over plan for the week so some of this may get pushed back to next week.  No matter, I'm linking up with Jennifer again for

Writing: We're putting the finishing touches on our One Word Writing Project so I'm hoping to share those soon.

Work Stations: My kiddos loooove work stations!  They are almost in full swing and we'll keep it up this week.  Here's what's been introduced so far:
  • Language Arts: shared writing journals, independent reading, partner reading, games
  • Math: math journals, SuperSpeed math, task cards
Hope everyone has a great week!

  1. How long have you been using math expressions? We just started using the new math expressions for common core this year. I'm interested in seeing how you think it's going. :) I'm excited for next year when the 2nd graders have had a year of it.

  2. I hope you will share your One Word Projects on your blog. They are truly powerful!! I teach with Ana (Mrs. Bentin's Blackboard) and am also curious about your thoughts about Expressions. Since this is our first year with it, many of the students are struggling because they don't have that background knowledge from years before. Hopefully, next year will be easier.

    Thanks for linking up & have a great week!
