#BeTheDifference

When I was contacted last week by Sarah at The Mailbox to participate in their #BeTheDifference campaign, I jumped at the chance.  The premise of the campaign is simple: What are you doing to be the difference for your students this year?  I know as all of us are getting ready to go back to school, we are all thinking about the positive impact we can make on our students.

To participate in the campaign, head over to The Mailbox on Facebook and enter.  I will be back in a few weeks to share a great activity that The Mailbox graciously donated to me.

As if that wasn't enough, The Mailbox has generously donated 10 FREE Gold memberships to my fabulous readers!  Make sure to enter the giveaway below for your chance to win.  This is perfect as we head back to school!

  1. I am a Special Education Teacher. Most of my students are reluctant and struggling learners. I want to help them and be the one who knows they can be successful as they each learn in their own way.

  5. Well I am moving to a new much smaller classroom...needless to say I will be challenged to fit everything in my room. So I will definitely be different that way. I am also going to be doing some different types of lessons and activities. Can't wait to get started!

  7. I want my students to know that I love and care about them, therefore expecting the very best they can do. I want to further develop the communication with my parents so they understand the important role they play in their child's education.

  8. I want to reward my good students this year. I want to be in contact with their parents by making phone calls home, giving awards, and positive referrals. I feel like I am always spending my time and energy on the students not following directions and doing the wrong things. They suck me up and zap me of my energy. I need to reward the good ones. I don't want to give them trinkets but reward them in other ways. I feel the ones who always do the right things are often not recognized. I want to change that in my class this year!

  13. What an awesome giveaway - thank-you for organizing it! I plan to make a difference by investing in my students - academically, socially, and mentally. I hope to speak truth into their lives and focus on shaping, not only their minds, but also their character.

  14. What a really great opportunity for us all to get together and share how we are going to be the difference! I'm loving this and am really excited to hear what everyone is planning to do. I personally plan to make more connections early on especially with their families. Making that connection can help so much and although it takes time I really want to organize some activities that we can do as a class to get to know each other better. I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do but I'm going to be thinking about it! :)

  15. Thank you so much for this wonderful Giveaway. I love Mailbox and have followed it for many years. I am a retired teacher (40 year veteran). I now run a small tutoring business. I have been gathering material all summer from TPT to use with our students this fall. I have found material to go with their reading series as well as supplemental reading material as many of our students are below grade level. I just want our students to success and gain self-esteem.
