Here's what I made:
I covered a shoebox in duct tape then painted some wooden letters and used my glue gun to attach them to the shoebox. I plan to keep this on my desk for students' notes and things they hand me in the morning.
Here's the welcome sign I created. It's available at my TpT store {HERE}. I plan to hang this on my door for the beginning of school, back to school night, open house, etc.
Make sure you stop by and link up. I get so many great ideas each week from fellow bloggers!
I'm sorry you won't be teaching second. The shoe box and the welcome sign look great though.

ReplyDeleteThanks Stacy! I'm a little intimidated at the thought of the upper grades, but know with hard work and help from my blogging buddies and new colleagues I'll be ok!
Your welcome sign turned out AWESOME, and I love the patterned duct tape you chose. My TV cabinet ends up plastered with all the drawings, letters and cards my students give me - thanks for sharing the idea about keeping them in a cute box!
